We’re excited to announce that effective November 1st, 2017 we will be changing our company name to ErieTec Inc.
Why? The short answer is that we’ve simply outgrown our name. We’re more than just bearings – and have been for a long time now. It is time that our name reflected that.
There is no change in management or personnel. You will continue to receive the same exceptional products and services we’ve been providing for almost 60 years. You’ll simply see a new name on our quotes, orders, invoices and communications.

Why change the name from Erie Bearings Co. to ErieTec Inc?
Erie Bearings has evolved over the years and we outgrew our name many years ago. As we expanded into new markets we found our name did not truly represent the vast array of mechanical and electrical products and solutions that we offer.
Why ErieTec?
We wanted a name that better described who we are and what we do. We are a very technical company with people who are highly educated in our products. We believe that the “Tec” portion of the name will help us share the story about how we can provide electrical and mechanical technical: solutions, products, ideas, services and etc. We also wanted to keep Erie in the name as somewhat of a bridge to the old name and because our customers have come to refer to us by the pseudonym of “Erie.”
Has the ownership changed?
No. We have the same second generation ownership, Mike Ketchel and Judy Miller, who are
dedicated to continuing the same business philosophy set by their father:

Mike and Judy have been running the company since the early ’90s.
What does this mean to the customers?
Other than updating their purchasing systems and contacts, customers will see no change.
Will customers have to complete new credit applications?
No, existing customers will retain the same credit terms they currently have.
What will happen with the open orders we have with Erie Bearings?
They will be filled as usual but the invoice will be from ErieTec.
I placed the order with Erie Bearings prior to the name change, who do I make the check
payable to?
You can make the check payable to ErieTec or ErieBearings, whichever is more convenient for you. However, any payments for orders placed after October 31st should be made payable to ErieTec.
We pay electronically via ACH payments. Is your banking information changing?
No, our banking information will remain the same.
Are the employees changing?
Other than their email addresses and phone greeting, we will retain the same friendly staff.
What’s the future of ErieTec?
Even though we’ll soon be celebrating 60 years in business, we are still a growing company. We continually expand our product lines, technology, and geography. Even though our name has changed, our mission statement still holds true:
